Cryolipolysis Treatment – FAQs
What to expect during a Cryolipolysis Treatment
After your consultation, you will have your measurements and photos taken so we can document your contouring journey. At the start of the treatment you will have an antifreeze membrane placed on the treatment area. This will feel cold initially but it warms quickly to your body’s temperature. The hand piece of the Cryolipolysis machine will be placed on the treatment area. Suction is then started which creates a seal on the area and the cooling plates in the hand piece take the treatment area down to -5°C . After this, the suction pressure is reduced slightly for the remainder of the treatment. You can then enjoy the rest of the hour long treatment however you choose – reading a book or magazine, enjoying some peace and quiet or just having a good chat.
Side Affects
Depending on your skin sensitivity, there may be some bruising and numbness in the treatment area. This is totally natural and will fade anywhere between 2 and 48 hours, depending on your skin type.
* Wanting the best for you
We want you to be delighted with the results of your Cryolipolysis treatment, so advise you to come back for a 40 minute appointment of Ultrasonic Cavitation (20 mins) and Radio Frequency (20 mins), to speed up the removal of the dead fat cells and to tone the treatment area. These appointments must be at least 2 weeks after your Cryolipolysis treatment.

What Is Cryolipolysis (Fat Freezing)?
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive procedure. It uses cooling technology that results in localised fat reduction. The technology behind Cryolipolysis, was designed and developed by dermatologists at Harvard Medical School. Their analysis revealed that fat cells are more responsive to the effects of cold in contrast to the surrounding tissue. Fat cells crystallise at different temperatures than other cells. It is specific in breaking down the fat cells whilst sparing all the other tissue like the skin, muscle mass, and nerve fibers.
Does It Work?
YES – There are numerous clinical trials, celebrity reviews, and before & after photos which support the effectiveness of fat freezing. Ask to see our client testimonials.
How Does It Work?
A special vacuum suction cup with cooling plates is positioned on the selected body area. The area is then chilled – fat cells are especially sensitive to cold exposure. When cooled fat cells crystallise and as a result no longer function in their usual way, and breakdown (Apoptosis). The surrounding blood vessels, nerves, etc are much less sensitive to cool exposure and remain unaffected. This results in the elimination of the fat cells without damage to the surrounding tissues.
What Will I Feel During The Session?
After you have agreed the area, you will feel a “tug” close to the treated area due to the vacuum effect used to hold the area in place during the session, and an intense cold feeling at the beginning of the procedure at the vacuum site. This is reported as a “different sensation” as its an unusual feeling, but not painful. We often have clients fall asleep during their session. There is no anaesthetic or numbing agent required during the treatment.
What Happens To The Fat Cells That Have Been Treated?
Fat cells perish and are dissolved into the body via the lymphatic & immune system. The nervous system flushes effected fat cells from the system using the bodies natural processes. The area treated becomes smaller in size over the following weeks as this process happens.
How soon can I see the results?
You may see results after 2-4 weeks but the full results will be seen after 8-12 weeks. We do request that you come back at week 6 for an interim follow up and then again at week 12 for a final measure and photo if appropriate. These follow ups are completely free of charge.
What Will The Results Be?
Clinical studies on Cryolipolysis have shown reduction of fat is between 20% to 40%. Results will vary on the individual, the thickness of the fat deposits in each area, and the lifestyle maintained after treatment. Those that follow the aftercare advice, will get the best results.
What Will I Feel After The Session?
The beauty of Cryolipolysis is there are generally few side effects. There is no recovery period, or downtime.
-Usually: some short term redness and cold/numbness on the treated zone after the session.
-Rarely: slight haematoma, due to the vacuum (similar to a love bite) that will resorb within a few days. Swelling, superficial bruising, extended redness.
You can resume normal daily activities without special discomfort immediately after the session, or go back to work if your being treated in your lunch break.
How many treatments can I have?
Many people will find that only one Cryolipolysis treatment is required. Depending on your personal goals and budget, we may recommend teaming the Cryolipolysis with Ultrasonic Cavitation and Radio Frequency. Everyone is individual so we can discuss the best personal treatment plan for you.
Can I have more than one area treated if I pay?
Yes, two areas can be treated in one session, however they must not be in adjoining areas and on opposite sides to ensure the lymph glands are not individually overwhelmed.
How often can I have further Cryolipolysis treatments?
You may have a further treatment in the same area after two months, however we recommend to wait three months to ensure you see the full results of the first treatment. You can have Cryolipolysis in different area(s) after two weeks.
Is the fat reduction permanent?
Yes, the fat cells are destroyed permanently.
How long is a treatment?
The treatment including consultation and measurement is normally about an hour and a half. Should you wish to have two treatments, providing they are not in adjoining areas and are on opposite sides of the body, we can do both areas on the same visit. However the second area will be treated following the first area so this will increase your treatment time.
How long should I wait after childbirth to have Cryolipolysis?
You must wait a minimum of 3 months after normal birth of your baby or a minimum of 6 months after C section.
Do I have to rest after Cryolipolysis treatment?
No, the great thing about this treatment is that you can go about your day as normal. We do advise you to increase your water intake to at least 2 litres a day to help with the fat removal.
What would happen if I had Cryolipolysis during my period?
You would feel very uncomfortable so it is not advised.
Is Cryolipolysis safe if a woman has a fitted contraception coil?
Yes this is not a contraindication.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, it is company policy to not provide Cryolipolysis to anyone under the age of 18.
What can I do at home to help with treatments?
Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol after your service. Try and increase your heart rate by taking some exercise for the best results (even by doing some household chores), and avoid too many carbohydrates.
Will people know that I’ve had help to get my new figure?
It is completely up to you if you tell people that you have had Cryolipolysis with us, however the treatment is non-invasive so there are no scars and you won’t have to take time off work to recover. We are fully committed to ensure your privacy is maintained at all times.
Who Is The Ideal Candidate For Cryolipolysis?
Cryolipolysis is especially indicated for local fat reduction: The ideal candidates are those who want to reduce localised fat deposits for instance on the abdomen, flanks, lower back, hips, thighs, upper arms etc. These tend to be areas particularly stubborn to diet and exercise. Although most people are treatable, it is not an overall weight loss solution. We suggest that the ideal candidate is within or near their ideal body weight, people in this group will see the best results. It can also be an excellent additional motivation for those embarking on a change in lifestyle.
Do I Need To Follow A Particular Kind Of Diet Or Exercise Program?
No supplements or diet plan are required and you do not have to change your exercise habits for the treatment to work. However, Cryolipolysis is not a substitute for taking care of your body. You may feel more motivated to take care of yourself after the treatment, after all it is an investment in your good looks. Combining cryolipolysis with a healthy diet and lifestyle will only further maximise your result. Should you require lifestyle advice we can refer you to specialists in your area. After care includes advice to increase your water intake, avoid caffine & other toxins to support your bodies natural processes.
What Is The Main Difference Compared To Other Procedures?
The Cryolipolysis treatment results in a notable and natural reduction of fat tissue, avoiding the traumatic experience of invasive methods (liposuction), and the risk of damage to surrounding tissue. It is different to other non-invasive laser lipo offerings that use lasers (like I-Lipo, Strawberry and Laser Lipo) Cryolipolysis, physically destroys the fat cell, and no course of treatment is required as in these other laser based treatments. No exercise is required for the treatment to get results and the results are permanent. The results are not as fast or as dramatic as invasive procedures like liposuction or tummy tuck. But Fat Freezing is an effective alternative for those wanting to avoid the higher cost, pain, risk, and recovery time associated with surgery.
What areas can you treat?
Upper & lower abdomen, upper arms, inner and outter thighs, love handles, flanks, muffin top, banana rolls (underneath buttocks), hips, male torso/man boobs. The applicator cannot be used for the chin, ankles or wrists as usually these areas are too small to treat. Cryolipolysis can be used to reduce “man boobs” but cannot be used to treat female breast tissue or gynocomastia.
Where does all the fat go?
No anesthesia, no downtime, nominal pain, minimal side effects, and immediate recovery are the key features of these procedures. These non-invasive, non-surgical techniques are designed specially to target the adipose fat cells, without damaging the skin and subcutaneous tissue itself. The equipment, through various mechanisms, in effect disrupts the fat cells by inducing a non-inflammatory, apoptotic death of the fat cell (accelerated natural cell death) in the treated area. Gradually, in a matter of few weeks the damaged fat cells are removed by body’s lymphatic system leaving behind a smart, slim, contoured body area.
Maintain A Healthy Diet
The best way you can maintain your Cryo results is by eating a well-balanced and healthy diet. By eating healthy foods regularly, you will be nourishing your body with all of the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that it needs. It is best to cut down on carbohydrates, sugars and saturated fats. Processed foods that are high in sugar and sodium lack the nutrients your body needs to stay lean and healthy. Choosing fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains will keep you full and energized. Stay hydrated and drink the proper amount of water to keep your body working efficiently.
Also, be sure that you are not skipping any meals. By fueling your body, you are ensuring that you will stay full and not overeat later on in the day. Skipping meals will most likely slow down your metabolism and cause you to eat much larger portions later on. Consume smaller and more nutrient packed meals throughout the day. These healthy foods are essential for maintaining a wholesome diet and keeping your results looking great.
Workout Regularly
Exercising on a regular basis is an important key to maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle. You can easily find a routine that fits best with your everyday life. Be sure that you are moving for about 30 to 60 minutes every day. If you are not used to exercising regularly, you can start with a simple regimen and slowly progress to more challenging workouts.
Staying fit and in shape is a major key to maintaining your results. Always be sure to follow your doctor’s instructions that are given to you immediately after the procedure.
Radio Frequency – FAQs
What to expect from Radio Frequency
Radio Frequency (RF) Therapy is very relaxing, you will experience a warm and sometimes tingling sensation as the RF head moves over the skin.
The goal of RF Therapy is to re-tighten the skin and body, the dilated pores and finally to improve the appearance of cellulite by applying electromagnetic high frequency waves which penetrate all layers of the dermis. The tissue resistance to this high frequency current produces heat, which induces a retraction of connective tissues and a stimulation of collagen cells (fibroblast). The final result is an improvement of the firmness and tension of the skin (lifting effect). At the same time, the specific warming of subcutaneous fat will retract the fat cells (adipocytes) and allow a release of fatty acids.
Radio Frequency benefits:
– Lifting and toning skin that has become stretched after having children, or following weight loss.
– Smooths out stubborn cellulite.
– None of the risks or pain associated with surgery.
Timings
Your appointment time will vary depending on your consultation and measurement taking, so please allow between 45 minutes to 1hr when scheduling your appointment.
Prices
One treatment – £60, however a course of 6 – 12 treatments is recommended.
A course of six treatments – £300
Is it painful?
No, it should never be uncomfortable. You may sometimes feel a slight warmth or tingling.
Do I have to have to be a specific size or have a specific amount of loose skin to use Radio Frequency?
No there is no specific size, the best thing to do is arrange a free consultation so we can discuss the realistic outcomes. As you would expect, the looser skin, the more treatments that you are likely to need. If you are losing weight, the way to get best results is to have Radio Frequency simultaneously so the skin is tightened in line with you losing weight to reduce the likelihood of excessive skin.
Cryotherapy – FAQs
What is it?
Localised or spot Cryotherapy is a revolutionary treatment brought to you by Cinch Clinic. It has many functions including as a fat and inch loss treatment, pain and injury reduction, wrinkles and fine line reducer, cellulite reduction and bum lift and hay fever and allergy relief.
How it works..
The Cryotherapy wand is used to pass a concentrates stream of vaporised nitrogen air over the selected area of client’s concern, which is a relaxing, pain-free and soothing process.
Fat & inch loss(£99 PER AREA/£349 FOR 6- August OFFER £69.00)
For fat and inch loss the cold vapour is waved over the area of concern in circular motions which crystalises the fat cells beneath the surface of the skin, these cells change shape, the body no longer recognises them and they then die. A lymphatic massage on the treated area encourages the cells to move through the lymphatic system which is then deposited as waste. Fat reduction and inch loss can often be seen straight after the treatment.
Pain reduction(£40 PER AREA/£220 FOR 6 – august OFFER £30.00)
The therapist uses a controlled beam of vaporized liquid nitrogen over the client’s area of pain, it will instantly* minimise pain, promote healing, reduce swelling and inflammation, and promote cell production in a selected area of the body. This releases endorphin and reduces inflammation which reduces pain.
It will continue to work for the following 3 days. *Some clients get next-day benefit rather than instant.
Frotox(£70 PER FACIAL/£345 FOR SIX-)
The ‘Frotox’ Facial uses a controlled beam of vaporised liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin on the face, scalp, and neck area. It will tighten the skin, fill in fine lines, and reduce wrinkles. The liquid nitrogen is sprayed on the face skin to cool the skin surface and temperature, which causes immediate vasoconstriction (or tightening) of the vessels. This tightening is your skin’s natural reaction to maintaining body heat, which also makes your face look less red, puffy, and inflamed. It can also help encourage collagen regrowth and cell repair in the deeper layers of the skin resulting in a smoother, firmer and more youthful look. It also works by shocking the body into action increasing blood circulation and boosting the immune and central nervous system.
Cellulite reduction & lifting (£99FOR ONE/£349 FOR 6 august OFFER £69.00)
Our Cryotherapy technology can help significantly reduce cellulite and achieve a lifting affect to the buttocks. Your legs and buttocks area are exposed to a liquid nitrogen vapour which will gently move over the body crystalising the fat cells, reducing cellulite and lifting the skin. Cellulite appears more vividly when there is a thick underlying layer of fat. The fattier the tissue you have under the layer of skin showing cellulite, the more those little dimples will show. Cryotherapy helps to reduce these fat deposits. Fat cells like these are completely intolerant to the cold. So, when you undergo 3 minutes of Cryotherapy, some of these cells can undergo apoptosis, effectively, cell death. The contents of these fat cells are then removed from the body through the lymphatic system, helping to reduce the visibility of cellulite. Many clients experience a 2-5 inch loss in their first session and a lift in skin texture, reduction in cellulite and an increase in firmness.
Hay fever, allergy relief, EXCZEMA AND PSORIASIS (£25 FOR ONE/£100 FOR SIX PER SESSION)
Localised Cryotherapy can offer instant and long-term relief to seasonal immediate and long-term relief to seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms (runny nose, itching, sneezing, aching, nasal congestion and itchiness). Since allergic reactions are usually caused by a weakening/dysfunction of the immune system, and inflammation Cryotherapy sessions can significantly strengthen your system by naturally oxygenating the blood and reduce the swelling and symptoms instantly.
FAQs
IS NITROGEN GAS DANGEROUS?
No, nitrogen is a friendly, non-toxic gas. Nitrogen composes 78% of the air that we breathe. The other components are 16% Oxygen, 1% Hydrogen and 5% other gases. Nitrogen is as common and safe as Oxygen.
IS CRYOTHERAPY COMFORTABLE?
Yes. Cryotherapy involves dry, hyper-cooled air flowing over the skin surface, so the process never freezes skin tissues, muscles or organs. The result is only a “feeling” of being cold. The body is being tricked into believing that this extreme cold is life threatening. Cryotherapy is a dry cold with no moisture and tolerable even to those who consider themselves cold intolerant. Towards the end of the treatment, you may get a “pins and needles” sensation like it is falling asleep which will dissipate after the treatment.

cryotherapy and pain relief
Cryotherapy treatment helps relieve joint and muscle soreness and inflammation with safe localized cooling technology.
Treatments are applied over three to six visits as the body continues healing. The effects continue after the treatment itself ends, and an added bonus — it’s far more convenient than applying ice off and on for days.
It can:
- Treat a specific muscle or joint that’s painful — not the whole body
- Reduce inflammation
- Flushes fluid and cellular waste from painful or injured tissue
- Increases range of motion and regenerative circulation
- Soothes muscles and skin.
This technology cools the affected area to just above freezing, a safe temperature range that maximizes pain relief without endangering tissue.
Targeted cryotherapy helps reduce pain and inflammation from sports injuries, back, neck and shoulder pain, sprains, strains and other soft tissue problem. Even people with chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis say they feel better after targeted cryotherapy.
How does Targeted Cryotherapy work?
A handheld device will be held over the painful area that lowers the body temperature around a targeted muscle or joint to a therapeutic level.
Cryotherapy provides immediate relief and reduces inflammation by rapidly cooling areas that are painful or swollen. This releases endorphin and reduces inflammation which reduces pain.
It also accelerates healing and recovery by encouraging the body to circulate blood more rapidly into the cooled area. This speeds the removal of by-products of tissue damage while supplying fresh nutrients to the recovering tissue.
Targeted or localized cryotherapy often helps:
- Sports and fitness-related pain or short-term pain related to overuse of a specific muscle or joint
- Chronic back, neck, shoulder, hip and knee pain
- Chronic pain related to systemic health issues like rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia.
